Not Again!!

Ethan had another incident at school this past week. He squished an orange with a juice box and made a mess all over the lunch table, this was with Myles help of course. After a lengthy discussion that evening Ethan and I came to the conclusion he was going to mind his p's and q's and be respectful to his teachers and school property. When I picked him up the next afternoon I expected that everything would have gone well as Ethan had surely learned his lesson. I asked how Ethan was and to my surprise the teachers response was "not good". At this point I questioned whether I should just grab Ethan and run or be the responsible concerned parent and probe further to what the issue was. Knowing Ethan all to well I knew it wasn't good! The teacher proceeded to inform me that when it was Ethan's turn to stand up and recite a verb and noun to the class he whipped down his pants, and underwear, and flashed his penis?? Not knowing what to say to the teacher I replied with "he doesn't do that at home?". When I asked Ethan why he did it he said he didn't know. That much I believe. Maybe this is his response to stress or maybe he is genuinely proud of his privates at this point it's anybodies guess!! In the meantime Ethan and I have resolved to keep his privates "private"!!

What did I do wrong??

So Rachel decided to pull an "evil Rachel" routine in front of a classmate and her mother. Rachel asked me to invite Morgan over for a visit so I obliged. She was excellent on Saturday and in a great mood in the morning. Why wouldn't I everything seemed fine. When Morgan got here her little sister wanted to stay and play with Ethan (Ethan and Olivia were in the same daycare so they know each other)so they all decided to play while their Dad left to go get Groceries. Cathy, Morgan's mom, and I talked while the kids played. They were getting along great until all of a sudden Morgan comes down to tell me Rachel won't let her in her room. I went upstairs and Rachel told me she wanted Morgan to go home. Being that they didn't have a vehicle that was not an option. I spoke to Rachel about being polite and how would she feel if someone did that to her. She started screaming and crying and wouldn't share her toys. She yelled that she just wanted Morgan to go home...I was so embarrassed and humiliated! What have I done wrong?? There has been no T.V. and no candy (left overs from Halloween) as punishment but to be candid I want to take away CHRISTMAS for that academy award winning performance!!

Is there awards for the worlds worst parent?

Polly Pocket Dilemma!!

Rachel informed me that she lost her case that holds her Polly Pocket clothes. We looked high and low, however, nothing yet. I asked Rachel where she had it last and she informed me she hid it so that no one would take it...well I guess her theory has been proven true...no one will take it because no one can find it!!

Ethan lost his Gameboy. Yes, this is the same one he brought in the tub. After it dried out it started working again. He says that he doesn't want to find it because he likes the adventure of looking for it...huh??

P.S. 5 more days until Andrew comes home. Yeah!!!

Too smart for his own good...

So I'm lying in bed cuddling Ethan. He is stroking my arm as he tells me about his day. Not even two hours earlier he was getting into things and getting into to trouble so I decided to ask him what happened to my easy going Ethan, the little boy who listened and was so agreeable. His reply, to my dismay, "he died". I'm starting therapy next week!

What???

Ethan woke up this morning and the first thing he said to me was "Mom, my brain is saying bad words but I am not listening". This tells me two things:
1. He is hearing voices in his head
2. He even dreams about things that will get him into trouble

Parent teacher day was today. As suspected, Rachel is doing well and achieves the standards required by the school board. Her only real issue is her attention span or lack there of. Mrs. Power also mentioned that Rachel tends to hum during class. She does it while she works, while the teacher is teaching. Apparently she is very fond of Rachel's humming and even said that she will miss it while she is on maternity leave. I told Mrs. Power she is welcome to borrow her anytime!
